Obituary of Jamal S. Petros Habboush
Dr. Jamal Habboush, 90, of Plymouth Meeting passed away on Friday July 2, 2021 at Suburban Community Hospital.
Born February 28, 1931, he was the son of the late Petrus Habboush and Najma Sinbul.
He was a retired Anesthesiologist in Baghdad, Iraq, where he worked for over 40 years. He enjoyed planting grapevines and making wine, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jamal is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mona Bunni, his children Sundus Habboush (Raad Rassam) of Baghdad, Iraq, Estabrak Habboush (Balsam), of Blue Bell, PA, Sarmad Habboush (Lubna) of San Diego, CA, and Sahar Habboush (Firas Hindoosh) of Scottsdale, AZ, his grandchildren Faris, Farah, Dena, Daniel, Nathanial, Julia, Christopher, Akram, and Yazin, and his brothers Mudafar (Haifa) and Fawzi (Christa). He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sister Samia and his brother Sami (Nehad).
Relatives and friends are invited to the Life Celebration visitation for Jamal Habboush. There will be a viewing at St. Helena Catholic Church on 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422 on Thursday, July 8th from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken on 235 E Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
Luncheon will immediately follow at a location to be announced.
The funeral reception will be at his son, Estabrak’s house from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM that evening.
