Obituary of Marguerite A. Gannon

Marguerite A. "Peggy" Gannon, age 83, of East Norriton, PA, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

 

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin L. Gannon, Sr.

 

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 5, 1937, the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Jennings) Cooney.

 

Peggy has been living in East Norriton since 2000, formerly of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.  She was a faithful parishioner of St. Helena RC Church of Blue Bell.  Peggy enjoyed bowling at Facenda-Whitaker Lanes, ceramics, shopping, attending daily mass and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

 

She is survived by four children, Donna Marie (Michael) Lyman, Martin L. (Joann) Gannon, Jr., Patrick (Patricia) Gannon, and Maureen (James) McCloskey; one sister, Catherine Gavaghan; two brothers, John Cooney and Thomas Cooney.  

 

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Valerie, Tiffany, Kaitlin, Christine, Kirstin, Brittany, Kimberly, Marty, Marissa, Danielle, Sean, Mollie and James.

 

She was the beloved GIGI to 13 great-grandchildren, Ava, Matthew, Jackson, Jesse, Marty, Carter, Logan, Leilani, Aurora, Niyah, Gwen, Luke, Dylan and two on the way.

 

Her Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM in St. Helena RC Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.   

 

Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
