Obituary of Audrey M. Hemerka

Audrey M. Hemerka, age 91, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

She was born in Shamokin, PA on January 26, 1930, the daughter of the late Stanley and Sally (Blasko) Witcoskie.

Audrey has been living in Collegeville for over 60 years.  She worked at Collegeville Flag and Costume for many years then was a Homemaker.  She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church.  Audrey devoted her life to her family and her church.  At St. Eleanor, she was active in the Legion of Mary, Charismatic Prayer Group, Women's Guild, and Young at Heart group.

She was the wife of the late Francis  B. Hemerka.

She is survived by four sons, Gary (& Carol) Hemerka of Myrtle Beach, SC, David (& Toni) Hemerka of Bally, PA, Robert Hemerka of Cleveland, OH, and Kenneth Hemerka of Collegeville, PA;

daughter, Christine (& William) McLead of Collegeville, PA;

eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Michelle, Bryan, Thomas, Steven, John and Rachel;

and five great grandchildren, Arthur, Sophia, Juliana, Troy and Nicolas.  

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude Eckman, Eleanor Ruchko, and twin sister Lorraine Schmidt; and seven brothers, Albert, Clarence, Victor, Leonard, Hubert, George and Robert Witcoskie.  

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.  

Interment will take place in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.  

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Eleanor's RC Church at the above address.
