Obituary of Edward L. Szabara

Edward L. Szabara, age 84, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. 

He was born in Norristown, PA on May 8, 1937, the son of the late Anthony F. and Mary Elizabeth (Pigeon) Szabara. 

He lived in Norristown and Conshohocken before moving to Collegeville in 1985.  He was a faithful parishioner of St. Eleanor's RC Church.     

Prior to his retirement, he worked as the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles for the Borough of Norristown.   He enjoyed sprint cars, NASCAR racing, as well as fishing, camping and traveling in his RV.  He loved the Philadelphia Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Sally (Pascale) Szabara and daughter, Deborah Sell (and her husband Jeffrey Sell, Sr.).  He is also survived by three grandchildren, Amanda N. Sell, Jason (& Kirstan) Sell, and Jeffrey Sell Jr., and three great grandchildren, Austin, Summer, and Kali.   

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles A. Szabara, and sister, Judith Ann Szabara.   

His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM from St. Eleanor RC Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday morning, February 3 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.   

Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA.
