Obituary of Robert A. Lang

Robert A. Lang, age 94, of Royersford, PA passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. 

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 30, 1927, the son of the late Gordon W. and Viola M. (Sharkey) Lang. 

Bob has been living in Upper Providence Twp. since 1999, formerly of Trooper, PA.  He was a retired Electronic Engineer.  Bob was a faithful and devoted member of St. James' Episcopal Church, where he sang in the choir for over 50 years.  He volunteered with the Lower Providence Fire Co. and later with the Trappe Fire & Ambulance Co. as a Fire Policeman until the age of 90.  He was active in Veteran's Groups, especially the Royersford VFW Post 6341.   

Bob honorably served in the Navy during World War II.   

He is survived by his wife, Alice M. (Unruh) Lang of Royersford; 

two daughters, Nancy E. (James) Shaw and Christine D. (Jason) Penman;  

son, Steven E. (Teresa) Lang; 

5 grandsons, William F. Henning II and Zachary Henning; ,Ed Rising, Joseph Rising, and Michael Rising 

2 great-grandchildren, William Henning III and Lilliana Henning

 step-daughter, Sandra L. (Jason) Hoffman,  

step-son, Michael J. (Angela) Brumbaugh,  

step grandchildren Morgan Hoffman, Micha Marriott, Alissa Taylor, Elliana Brumbaugh.  

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (Kunze) Lang.and his sister, Patricia Stevenson   

Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. James' Episcopal Church, 3768 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426.   Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM till the time of the service  

Interment will take place in St. James' Church Cemetery.
