Oh man, just found out about Rob. I went to school with Rob at Valley Regional High School in Connecticut and I would consider us friends. Not to push away the sad, which also has its meaning and purpose, but a little bit of fun and happiness always helps. The three memories below are not exagerated - seriously, they are facts. Haven't seen Rob since high school, but we played soccer together for a couple years at Valley Regional. Rob was our striker and I was fullback. Bulldog mentality on the field with ridiculous ball skills, He had a break away goal for the win at a certain game which I remember as if it was yesterday and I still think about, for whatever reason, on a weekly basis. Rob and I wrestled occasionally for fun and although I was a full head taller and about 40 pounds heavier, never - ever had a snowball's chance in you know where. And most memorable was a party at my parent's house (who were away) that turned out to be legendary - we were both in colllege and about 20 - and at the end of the night all beds were taken so Rob and I stayed up til morning on the sun porch just talking about what 20 year old college kids talk about. Never to be forgotten. Thank you Rob. Crying right now, but will use this to make the happier side even better. Please do the same.

Every memory I have of the best of times at Bucknell were graced with my friendship with Robbie. From our Freshman year on Vedder Hall, to rooming at DU and 6th Street there was always Robbie. Spending time with his father (Coach) and Carol made all those memories so special. Even beyond our time at Bucknell there were days of golf, swims in Coach's pool and laughter. Robbie's quick wit, unforgettable smile and his good natured honesty were the hallmarks of the kid I first met and the man I grew to know. Robbie, I will miss you for as long as there is an Army v NAVY (Go NAVY - Beat Army!) game and for as long as I can recall the best times of my youth. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hellauer family and the many friends Robbie made during his amazing life.

I was grateful to be with Jeanette the night she met you. The sparks were evident immediately and it was fun to be a witness to a life changing event.
