Obituary of Bryen E. Lorenz

Bryen E. Lorenz, age 76 of West Norriton, PA passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

He was born to the late Anita N. Dorne (Paslach) and Werner J. Lorenz on June 15, 1946 in Wurtsburg, Germany. He loved and cared for his step father, Alfred Dorn until his death.

He served in the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and retired with 30 years service. He graduated with a PhD in Physics from Drexel University and taught and provided administration to the Electrical Engineering Dept. at Widener University until his retirement in 2013. He was a natural teacher and conversationalist and made everyone feel important and special.

Bryen was blessed with three children to whom he was devoted. He took them on many surprise trips and raised then to be kind, loving adults. He married Marilyn (Molly) Lorenz in 2004 and was the love of her life. He has two step children with Molly. Bryen loved to spend time teaching and playing with his two grandchildren.

Bryen had a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye. He cared about others and always had a positive attitude about people and life. He enjoyed traveling and finding new places to explore. He was an avid reader of science and history. He attended Ascension UCC and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Sigma XI Scientific Research Society, IEEE Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Society of Engineering Education, The Delaware County Institute of Science and the National Museum of United States Army. He enjoyed sitting in front of a fire, listening to the rain on the roof and being with his family.
