So sorry to hear about Troy. Such a great and talented guy gone much too soon. Got to know him from being a fan of IV Stone, and had them play at our wedding. Such a great time, these guys made our wedding that much more memorable.

My heart is so broken for Troy, Brittany and their families. I became a fan of IV Stone and was blown away by Troy’s incredible talent. I met him and a few others from the band after a show years ago and was equally impressed with Troy as a person as much as a guitar player. I was taken aback at how genuine and emotionally present he was for someone so young. Make no mistake about it, I knew with his talent I was definitely in the presence of the next big Rock Star, but he had no huge ego, just a genuinely good, caring heart. He was just so down to Earth and the rare kind of person with whom you could have a fun or heartfelt conversation. Since becoming a fan of Troy’s I’ve now become a true fan of Brittany’s. I’ve seen and heard people take vows before but I can’t remember seeing anyone truly living their vows the way Troy and Brittany did. That man LOVED her with ALL of his heart and soul. And I’m sure every man on this Earth prays to have a woman even half as good as Brittany love them and be SO COMPLETELY DEVOTED to them as Brittany has been to Troy. That young woman LOVED Troy with ALL of her heart and soul. I was humbled and honored to follow Brittany and Troy’s journey through her posts. I never for a minute doubted that he wouldn’t beat this…which makes it all the harder to accept. However I know their love will forever remain “Landis Strong.” For Brittany, Troy’s parents, sister, and band mates I cannot begin to fathom how hard this loss of someone as incredibly special as Troy is for you to bear. Please know that I and many other people are praying for you, and for Troy to help you with your grief from Heaven. I know that Troy is in Heaven now with all of the other great Rock Stars. God has introduced him onstage to a crowd roaring with applause. I will be even more inspired to earn a ticket to Heaven…and will be sure to get Troy to autograph it for me when I get there. When we first saw Troy we were blown away by his musical talent! And then when we met him, he was so nice to us old folks. We became two of his best fans and loved going to IV Stone gigs and hearing him play. My favorite songs that he sang were Gimme Shelter, American Woman and I Got A Feeling! We will remember him and his bright spirit and smile. Rock on Troy! Love from Joe and Lynn

I had the privilege of having Troy in the Before and After Scool program at Hatfield Elementary. He was so full of energy and enthusiasm. Troy loved the gym games. Praying for all his family.
