Gregory J. McNutt  

Gregory J. McNutt, 60 yrs, passed away on August 6, 2023. Resident of Collegeville, PA and formerly of Glenside. Son of the late John T. & Rosemary (nee Lombard) and predeceased by brother Jamie. Survived by his wife of 29 years, Beverly and two children Justin and Gianna. Also survived by his brothers Thomas, John (Alysia), and Donald. Son-in-law of James and Dolores Anthony.  Brother-in-law of James Anthony (Terri Jo), Debbie Egan (Rich).  Uncle to Nicholas, Christina, James V & Victoria. Great Uncle to Molly, Bailee, Cara and Claire Vienna.

Greg was graduate of Bishop McDevitt (‘81), Franklin and Marshall and Philadelphia “Textile” where he met a genuine group of friends. He received his MBA from St. Joe’s University.  He was a long time employee of Quest Diagnostics in Collegeville, in addition to helping his wife build 4 successful Rita’s franchises in the Montgomery and Chester County areas. He was an advocate for special education advancements and helped establish the Special Education Foundation in the Spring-Ford School District.  Greg loved accompanying Justin to the Annual Special Olympics at Penn State.  He always said “you couldn’t be any closer to heaven than that.”  It always filled his heart to see all the participants and the commediare and talents they shared.

He loved Jeopardy, reading the paper and always boasted about how many live concerts he attended. Greg loved all Philadelphia sports teams, but in his earlier days was an avid fan of the Wings Lacrosse Team. He loved taking his twins to the games. Greg loved spending time with his brothers and friends hiking in the Adirondacks.

A celebration of life will be held October 22, 1:00pm - 5:00pm at the McNutt residence 48 Longacre Drive, Collegeville PA, 19426. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made towards son Justin’s equine therapy tuition fund at Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center 1811 Mill Rd. Perkasie, PA 18944 so he can continue riding for years to come.
