Obituary of Monica Miller Harmon

Monica Miller Harmon, age 65, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

She was born in Washington, DC on March 27, 1958, the daughter of the late Etienne H. and Frances (Famurak) Miller, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

She was raised in Chevy Chase, MD and moved to Pennsylvania to attend Villanova University, where she was among the first women in the college to graduate with a mechanical engineering degree. She moved to Allentown, where she worked at PP&L and met her husband. They later moved to Collegeville, where she worked at PECO before transitioning to be a stay at home mom to her three children.  

Being a mother was her biggest and proudest accomplishment in life. She raised three beautiful children who now have wonderful spouses that she lovingly welcomed to the family. Monica will be remembered for her incredible intelligence, her love for coffee and her dogs, but mostly for how much she loved her husband and children. 

She was the wife of Nicholas Harmon of Collegeville;

Mother of Emily (Ryan) Newcomer of Philadelphia, Laura Harmon (Michael Kemp) of Collegeville, and Nicholas Blaise (Kristina) Harmon of San Diego.

Her funeral service and interment will be private.
