Obituary of Michael Patrick Darby McTamney

Michael Patrick Darby McTamney, age 64, of West Conshohocken, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 24, 2023.

He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on January 24, 1959, the son of the late James  A. McTamney, Jr. and Joan  M. (McDonnell) McTamney. 

Mike lived all of his life in West Conshohocken and Conshohocken, PA, where he was an active member of VFW Post 1074.  He honorably served in the U.S. Army.  

Mike enjoyed being outdoors and watching football.  He was especially proud of being a Balloon Handler each year for the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade.  

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah McTamney of West Conshohocken and grandson, Javier Pagan-Ramos, Jr.  He is also survived by five siblings, Lynn Gulkewicz of Conshohocken, James (Louise) McTamney of Horsham, Kevin (the late Deborah) McTamney of Lafayette Hill, Coleen (James) Gibbas of Conshohocken, and Sharon Ryan of West Conshohocken; as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces.  

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 6:30 PM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.  Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Funeral Home. 

Interment will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
