Obituary of Edward Supplee Green

Edward Supplee Green, age 80, of Collegeville, PA passed away at home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 after a brief illness.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 1, 1943, the son of the late Edward S. and Helen (Alber) Green.

Ed was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church of Audubon, PA.  He had a long career teaching Woodshop for the Lower Merion School District.  He was the caretaker of Wetherill's Cemetery (Free Quaker Cemetery) of Audubon for 40 years.   

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane (Boone) Green; two daughters, Lauren Green and Meredith (Damian) Pinault; sister, Pam Shuman; and Betty Jane's three children, Deborah (Matthew) Montgomery, Timothy  (Crystal) White and Jennifer (Christopher) Burke.  Ed is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Green who died on January 12, 2024.  

His Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM from St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 2725 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA 19403.  The Rev. William R. Mueller will officiate.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday, February 2 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.  

Interment will be private at a later date in the Free Quaker Cemetery, Audubon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's memory to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at the above address.
