Obituary of Lillian Conway

Lillian F. Conway, age 78 years, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

Lillian was born in Boston, MA on Tuesday, March 26, 1940, daughter of the late Michael & Lillian (Chapman) Ferrant.

Lillian was a Registered Dietician and had worked with the US Air Force, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Little Sister of the Poor.  Then she worked as a Banker before owning her own gift shop Card Smart in Wilmington, DE.

Lillian has been living in Wilmington for over 45 years, formerly of Philadelphia and Boston.

She was a member of The Church of the Holy Child RC Church.

She was the beloved wife of John P. Conway.

Mother of Sean P. Conway (& fiance Samantha Colladay) and Erin P. Conway both of Wilmington.

Grand Mom to Emma and Ailey Conway of Wilmington.

Sister of Phyllis Carr of Winthrop, MA, Nancy Pelletier of Strongsville, OH & Carol Ferrant of Winthrop, MA.

Also survived by the Moore Family of Conshohocken, the Shore Cousins and many nieces & nephews.

Lillian was an avid knitter and displayed her many creations each fall at numerous craft fairs. In warmer weather she enjoyed the surf and sand of Sea Isle City.  But the thing she enjoyed most was loving and caring for her family whether as a grandmother, mother or wife, she always put the other person first.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  We love her so.

Her Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.

Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the Church.

Services will be officiated by Fr. Michael Carrier.

The interment will be in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville, DE.
