Terrence was the one who got me started on a different path at UGA. He got me to be an RA where I met some of the must influential people of my life. He was so amazing I still remember him even though I only knew him for a year.

I was so fortunate to hire and work with Terrence at Camp Wright. He was an integral part of adapting clearer core values of community ahead of competition, and helping the process of becoming an accredited camp program by the American Camp Association. He was a wonderful role model of empathy, integrity, patience and commitment. Most importantly, Terrence was one of the finest human beings I have ever known. Love and peace to his family, coworkers and friends. I know the grief is a huge burden for you. My deepest condolences. Van Beers

So sad to hear of Terrence passing. This was a photo of the boys at my wedding in 98. He was a great dude that will be missed forever. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I knew Terrence at Haverford. He was always so kind, so willing to help and always smiling. He was one of those people who could lift your spirit on a bad day and laugh with you on a good. He was a light and we are better people because he was in our lives.

Working with Terence as a senior at Haverford was very inspiring; even though his job did not require mentoring, he took me under his wing and gave me solid advice about next steps after graduation (and never tried to push a vegan lifestyle on me!). I enjoyed making him laugh and appreciated that he took me seriously when requested; I carried his guidance with me throughout graduate school. I'm sorry that others will not get to benefit from his care and wisdom, and I will do my best to pass it on in his honor. -Sarah Derbew

My time and interaction with Terrence was brief as I was leaving Ursinus and he was just starting. I felt that the Unity House and the students we served were left in “good hands”. May the lives he touched be a constant reminder of his legacy at Ursinus and beyond.

He was a beautiful human being and I know his passing will leave a deeply felt absence to all those around him. I am praying for the family during this time.

I knew Terrence when I was a student at St Lawrence University. He had a way of connecting and understanding people and brightening all whom he touched. I was his 6th grade teacher from January through June. I could see the brightness in him, and always remembered him. Later in life he reconnected with me by writing me a letter, the kind of letter that teachers dream of getting. What a loss!

From the first day we met on Salisbury’s campus, T was a calming influence. His demeanor and polite way of existing made the campus a better place. Whether it was playing ball at Maggs, or working together as RAs, I have nothing but love and fond memories of Terrence. Rest east, brother. The world is a little darker without the light you shared.
