Terrence Williams

Obituary of Terrence D. Williams

It is with a profound sense of sadness and love that we mourn the passing of Terrence D. Williams, age 46, of Collegeville, PA on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

He was born in Silver Spring, Maryland on October 13, 1975, the son of Shepherd and Helen (Hill) Thompson.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jessica Parrillo; two sisters, Cynthia Chalker (Sandy Farber) and Cherrie (Bob) Hughes; father in-law and mother in-law, Deborah and Anthony Parrillo; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Jordan (Darcy) Parrillo and Sarah (Matthew) Elliott.

After completing his own education at Salisbury University and the University of Arkansas, Terrence spent his life as a mentor to students through his roles at several institutions of Higher Education. From Colorado College (2001-2003), St. Lawrence University (Assistant Director, Career Services 2003-06), Haverford College (Associate Director, Alumni Relations 2007-12), Pendle Hill (Dean of Studies, 2012-14), to Ursinus College (Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs 2014-21), he touched countless lives.

His mark on the world cannot be captured in the positions he held as he was more so anchored and guided by the genuine value of empowering and lifting up those around him. He loved fiercely and deeply, made everyone around him both laugh and think more critically, facilitated dialogue on some of the more challenging issues we face, created and shared his music, cooked the most delicious dishes by feel vs recipe, was most alive on the basketball courts, and was the first to sing the praise of and support another. Always marching to the beat of his own drum, he truly left an indelible impression wherever he went. Now that he has left this world, he leaves an unimaginable void. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all those whose lives he managed to touch.

May we be grateful for any time we got to share with him and may your memories with him keep you smiling and moving forward in love. May we keep those parts of him alive and inside of us -whether his wit, his brilliant mind, his gentle and loving spirit, his compassion, or his way of elevating others.

Interment was private. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
