To The Capone Family;
Mr. Mike was a sweetheart and always kept you laughing with his jokes. Mr. Mike was a good friend of my mother Mrs. Lois Streeter who taught at Adaire School. My Mom always talked about Mr. Mike and his Lovely Wife. Mr. Mike you have finished your race. Your now in the Loving Hands With Our Lord. Rest Well my dear friend. Love you but God Truly Love You Best.

I will always treasure my memories of Mike. As a new teacher at Adaire, Mike shared his wisdom and kindness with me personally and professionally and I still try to live by the example he set. Sending condolences to you all especially Diane.

Everytime I saw Pop, from the first time I met him in 2015, he would greet me with a big smile, a hug and kiss on the cheek, and ask me if I'm doing okay and if I needed anything. He was always so kind and sweet to me and very supportive. In my relationship with Dennis, it was rare for a day to go by without a reference to Pop - a joke, a story, a memory. Our home today is filled with memories of him, from albums full of photos to cassette tapes of him reading Dennis bedtime stories 25 years ago, to the box of his cigars on Den's desk, and the email folder we have with all of his typed stories he's sent us over the years. Pop's stories were my favorite part of knowing him, and I would sit and listen for hours watching his eyes light up as he would reminisce of good times in his past. He has always truly been the number one role model in Den's life. He will always be loved by both of us, and we will always tell stories of Pop Capone to our children someday and keep his memory alive. In Den's words, "There won't be a day in my life where I don't think of him. I will miss him forever." We love you, Pop. Thank you for everything. Rest in peace. ❣️

Uncle Mike was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed. Always had a story or some good old-fashioned advice (often unsolicited) - followed by a slap to the head for good measure to make sure the message fully got through. Somehow he always seemed to be at the right place at the right time to catch us kids doing the wrong thing - which, by the way, is often what prompted the unsolicited advice.
Uncle Mike showed me what it was like to be a good man with a kind heart doing his best for his family - when there weren’t many other role models around for me to observe those behaviors from. Asked why I picked Uncle Mike to be the best man at my wedding, the answer was simple really, he was the best man I knew.
I’d like to thank Aunt Diane and each of the Capone kids for sharing their dad and their home with me. I’m confident in saying I wouldn’t be who I am today without having known Uncle Mike and his words of wisdom (selected Facebook posts excluded ; ) generosity, faith and acts of kindness - including caring for my Grandmom through the years.
Rest easy Uncle Mike knowing you did a great job and made a huge impact on many. I’m sure God is grading you with a bunch of A’s on your report card.

I was his student at Adaire. He was the only teacher I ever had who was able to "reach" me. By far the only teacher I actually remember from school. My Brother had died in "91" We were at his funeral just numb to everything. We were walking the casket out. I saw a blurry view of everyone in church and the only face I saw was Mr Capone. I never forgot that and never will. He was a great man. I will be praying for his family. Thanks Mr Capone!

Mike was a great guy who had great faith and loyalty to all who knew him,.I had the pleasure of attending school with him at St. Greg's and St. Thomas More. We reminisced often about our school days and the old neighborhood at our 57' STM luncheons. He taught my grandchildren at Archbishop Carroll H.S. and was regarded ,by them, as an excellent teacher.RIP

Dom, Mike, and family, we are very sorry to hear about the passing of a great man. I am honored to have known him from the time I was a kid. He was like a father to everyone and never missed an opportunity to share a story and a smile. He always wanted to know how everyone was doing. Thank you for allowing us to be part of his wonderful life. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.
